Super Powers

Last night I participated in a lovely teleclass with one of my newest heroes and inspirations: SARK (Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy). As an inspiring writer looking to be inspired, I have signed up for SARK's WINS program (Write It Now with SARK). It is a new adventure quite unlike anything I have ever experienced. It is unique and delightful in all sorts of really fabulous ways. Part of the purpose of last night's call was to talk about Inner Super Powers and Inner Critics. We were asked to inquire within and come up with three different Super Powers that best suited who are now. My Inner Wise Self came up with the following:

This morning I sat in my traditional morning meditation and writing time. It is exciting and frustrating at the same time. I know that there are things inside me that need to be said, though am not sure how to say them or even where to start. I feel like I am standing at the gates waiting for the race to start and have misplaced my horse. Up to today I have been feeling like my morning pages have been somewhat of a struggle. I haven't felt at all like they flow with the stream of thought-channelled kind of writing that I wish they would. Up to today.

“If she got really quiet and listened, new parts of her wanted to speak.”

When I asked my Inner Wise Self to tell me why these were my Super Powers, the words came fast and easy. Exactly like the way I have always wanted them to flow. It was as if I couldn't write fast enough! It was a marvellous experience - and this is what I wrote:

So why are these are my Super Powers?
(as answered by my Inner Wise Self)

AUTHENTICITY: This Super Power helps you to be honest with yourself and with others. This is your best, biggest, brightest and most powerful Super Power. It is the one that will help you to transform yourself and the World. By living authentically and sharing the beautiful self that you are, you will surpass your highest expectations and emerge to be a beacon of hope for the World. Authenticity is having your heart wide open and not caring who notices or who sees. It is embracing all parts of yourself, transforming the Shadows into Friends and stepping with them out into the Light.

BRAVERY: Bravery is your second Super Power because without bravery and courage it is hard to be authentic and real. Bravery is what you carry in your back pocket. It is with you always and can be pulled out any time. Bravery is your safety net, it is your path to strength in peace. Be Brave = Be Strong = Be Free.

CREATIVITY: Creativity is your Super Power because it is the tool that brings you into that place of authenticity. You are a creative being. You have been created so that you can create. Anything less is impossible. You create every day in every way and everything you create is beautiful and transformative. Your creativity is where you will find joy and inspiration. It is the vehicle that will take you to your authentic life.

Trust. Trust and it will happen. You are exactly where you need to be right now. Trust. Make peace with those Inner Critics. Explore them and love them. When you do that then you will begin to see the path. The path is there, right now though it is covered with trees and branches. First you need to clear the path, then you can see where it goes and from there how to take those first steps to where you want to go. Trust. Trust and it will happen.

Love from your Inner Wise Self.

... Message received. Thank you Inner Me! (When I re-read this message, it touches my heart deeply and for that I am grateful because it is in that opening and lightening of my heart that I know it to be true.)

Love and Light,
